Dividend yield
How much cash a share pays you each year relative to its price.
Dividend yield % = annual dividend per share ÷ share price × 100Example
A share priced at 0.500 rials pays 0.025 rials a year, and you own 4,000 shares:
Yield0.025 ÷ 0.500 × 100 = 5%
Holding value4,000 × 0.500 = 2,000
Your dividends4,000 × 0.025 = 100 OMR / year
Watch out: a very high yield isn't always good news. The price may have fallen because the market expects a dividend cut. Dividends aren't guaranteed.
